AN EXPOSITION OF PROPHETIC PSALM 2 – PART 8

Psalm 2:8 – Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.

JESUS IS THE SON OF THE ANCIENT OF DAYS AND THE SON OF MAN

Jesus is both the sinless Son of man by virgin birth through the line of the genealogy of Mary in Luke 3 through Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and Zerubbabel. He will sit and rule on the Throne of David in the Millennial Reign. He is also the Son of the Living God, the Ancient of days. He is pictured as the Son of David coming before the Ancient of days in Daniel 7, and shown as receiving the Kingdom of God and its dominion. The Ancient of days first appears in Daniel 7:9, then in Daniel 7:13.

IN DANIEL 7:9 GOD, THE ANCIENT OF DAYS IS PICTURED ALONE

Daniel 7:9 – I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.

IN DANIEL 7:13 HE IS PICTURED WITH THE SON OF MAN

Daniel 7:13 – I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

SOMETHING HAPPENED TO DANIEL‘S SON OF MAN BETWEEN DANIEL 7:13 & PHILIPPINES 2:6-13

Luke 1:34,35 – Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? [35] And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Philippians 2:6-13 – Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: [7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: [8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. [9] Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; [11] And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

IN DANIEL 7:22 THE SON OF MAN HAS BECOME THE ANCIENT OF DAYS, AND AS GOD (THE ANCIENT OF DAYS) HE CATCHES OUT THE SAINTS ON THE SEVENTH TRUMP TO HEAVEN WHERE HE JUDGES THEM. JESUS COMES AS “THE ANCIENT OF DAYS” IN DANIEL 7:22. ONE MIGHT THINK THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD FULFILLING THE OFFICES OF THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE SPIRIT.

Daniel 7:20-22 – And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. [21] I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; [22] Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

HE JUDGES SAINTS AND RETURNS TO THE EARTH WITH THEM TO END THE TERRIBLE VIALS OF WRATH BEING POURED OUT ON THOSE WHO ARE DESTROYING THE EARTH.

Revelation 10:7 – But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

Revelation 11:15,18 – And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever. [18] And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.

Revelation 1:7,8 – Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen. [8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Revelation 19:19-21 – And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. [20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. [21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Zechariah 14:9 – And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.
